Endass Wong holds a Bachelor of Arts (1995) and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts (2015) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dedicated to ceramic art for decades, he won First Prize in 2013 and Second Prize in 2018 at the prestigious "Tea Ware by Hong Kong Potters" competition organized by the Museum of Tea Ware. His works are permanently held in the institutional collections of the Museum of Tea Ware, as well as numerous local and international public institutions and private collectors. In 2018, Wong founded Touch Ceramics at Tai Kwun, one of Hong Kong's highest-tier declared monuments and premier cultural landmarks. He established Touch Ceramics as a flagship gallery space that seamlessly integrates the appreciation of contemporary ceramic art with immersive cultural experiences.Beyond his contributions to promoting, collecting, and researching contemporary ceramics, Wong is a leading figure in the local Kintsugi scene as both an artist and instructor. Harmonizing traditional Kintsugi craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics and the philosophy of "embracing imperfection," he imparts not only refined restoration technique, but a philosophy of life—one that encourages accepting flaw and rebuilding inner resilience. Under his active advocacy, Kintsugi has evolved into a compelling cross-disciplinary artistic experience, earning widespread acclaim and partnership from major corporations, educational institutions, and social service organizations. To date, he has conducted over 100 Kintsugi restoration workshops, instructed more than 3,000 students, received over 100 in-depth media feature interviews, and executed more than 50 bespoke corporate outreach and cross-sector events for renowned global brands. In 2020, Wong expanded his vision with a second artistic venue at Tai Kwun, Touch Gallery. Dedicated to championing Hong Kong’s contemporary visual arts and preserving local cultural heritage, Touch Gallery also introduces exceptional contemporary works from Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan and around the globe. By fostering international cross-cultural dialogue, the gallery delivers compelling visual experiences with conceptual depth and global perspective to the Hong Kong public.
