Mayako Ozawa (b. 1964) graduated from the Ceramics at the Visual Art Department of Tama Art University. She studied under contemporary ceramic artist Nakamura Kinpei, exploring ceramics as an art form. After working as a designer for household goods, she resumed her study of ceramics and self-taught the techniques of Neriage, aiming to express the “internal flow” of clay.
