ABOUT US

TOUCH CERAMICS

Touch Ceramics was founded in 2016 by award-winning ceramic artist, renowned kintsugi artist and lecturer, and ceramic collector Wong Sum from Hong Kong. In June 2018, it officially opened at Tai Kwun, the highest-level statutory monument for culture and arts in Hong Kong. It is a ceramic art gallery that combines contemporary ceramic art appreciation with cultural experiences.

Our mission is to promote the works of local ceramic artists. Over the past five years, we have organized over forty exhibitions centered around ceramics, featuring contemporary ceramic artists from Hong Kong as well as top ceramic artists from around the world. Through this space, visitors not only experience the charm of contemporary ceramic art but also gain a deeper understanding of the history, culture, and aesthetics of ceramics through different experiences and interactions.

While showcasing ceramic aesthetics, Touch Ceramics also shoulders the responsibility of promoting ceramic culture and craftsmanship. In addition to local ceramic artists, we invite international artists and craftsmen as guest instructors. We regularly hold various types of workshops to allow friends interested in ceramic art to experience and create ceramic works with their own hands, integrating art into their daily lives.

The word "Touch" represents the unique traces left by each ceramic artist in their works, as well as the emotional impact that each piece brings to the viewers. Welcome to Touch Ceramics.
