ARTISTS / Saori Yamaura
Yamaura Hayori loves animals. She graduated from the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Azabu University in 2010. Eight years later, she completed her studies at the Ishikawa Prefectural Kutaniyaki Technical Training Institute and officially started her career as a ceramic artist. Yamaura immediately won the Toyama Prefecture Tonami City Art Exhibition Grand Prize in 2021, and successfully held his first solo exhibition during the epidemic. In recent years, she has been active in holding exhibitions in major counties and cities in Japan. Yamaura draws animals and birds with meticulous brushstrokes, expressing their beautiful appearance, as well as various body parts and expressions such as anger, sleep, and happiness, breathing life into the pottery.
