ARTISTS / Yukari Akiyama

Yukari Akiyama (b. 1969) was born and grew up in Saitama Prefecture. She is a Neriage artist. She worked as a designer of car audio for many years. Her Neriage moulds are made by using 3D CAD and printers. She is exploring new Neriage techniques with them.

1989  Graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Shohoku College

           Joined a car audio manufacturer

2016   Began pottery

2017   Began Nerikomi (Learn under Mr. Eiji Murofushi, famous Nerikomi Artist)

2018   Established “Nerikomi Studio UmeetE”, in Saitama, Japan
